Costa Rica

Costa Rica, a rainforested Central American country, is known for its beaches, volcanoes, and biodiversity. According to this article on Telegraph, Costa Rica is the most satisfying place in which to live. With warm weather and soft beaches, who wouldn’t be happy all the time? And it’s not all rainforest its capital, San Jose, is home to Spanish colonial buildings, fascinating museums such as the Pre-Columbian Gold Museum, hot springs, and a bustling central market. Costa Rica is also abound with outdoor adventures: rainforest hikes, whitewater rafting, canopy zip-lining, and sun-dazed afternoons at the beach.

 

Dubai

Dubai, the United Arab Emirates’ holiday hotspot, is best known for its towering buildings and impressive shopping malls. Travellers of all ages will love spending time at this sunny destination – with theme parks, beaches, and stunning attractions. Soak up some sun on Jumeirah Beach, cool down at the Aquaventure Waterpark, check out the underwater zoo, or marvel at the impressive architecture (The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world). And if you feel like shopping up a storm, head to the souks for some traditional shopping, or to Mall of the Emirates (complete with a ski slope and a penguin enclosure).

Phuket, Thailand’s largest island, has a dry season from December to April, making it a reliable destination for a sunny escape from the European winter. The island is home to many high-end seaside resorts, with some of Thailand’s most popular beaches. The west coast beaches of Kata and Karon are very popular with families, and have stunning accommodation options all close to the beach. Take a boat trip to the famous Phi Phi island, and go snorkelling in the vivid turquoise waters. Great weather, safe beaches, exciting watersports, and a wealth of other attractions make Phuket one of the top family holiday destinations.

 

Majorca

Majorca, Spain’s largest Balearic Island, has become one of the top family holiday destinations to escape winter. With sheltered coves, crystalline waters, a lush landscape, and an array of activities your family will be spoiled for choice. There are an endless amount of things to do and see: laze on the beautiful beaches, explore the tangle of streets and alleyways in Palma, traverse through the glittering chambers of vast caves, go snorkelling in the pleasant, azure waters, or splash around at one of the many water parks.
